Retay USA Ace Upland Ultralite
The Ace Upland Ultralite represents a thoughtful approach to upland shotgun design. This over-under configuration chambers 3-inch shells, providing versatility for various game and hunting conditions.
Key Features
- Barrel Length: 24-inch barrels optimized for upland work
- Gauge: 12-gauge with 3-inch chamber capability
- Stock: AA-grade walnut furniture with traditional lines
- Action: Over-under design for reliable operation and quick target acquisition
- Weight: Ultralite construction reduces fatigue during extended hunting days
Design Philosophy
This shotgun prioritizes the fundamentals that matter in the field. The 24-inch barrels provide adequate shot patterns without excessive length, making it manageable in brush and timber. The AA-grade walnut stock demonstrates quality craftsmanship and will develop character with use.
The over-under configuration offers the practical advantage of two different choke options in a single shot sequence, allowing hunters to adapt to changing conditions without reloading.
Practical Considerations
The ultralite weight is a genuine asset during a full day afield. Reduced recoil fatigue translates to better shooting form as the day progresses. The 3-inch chamber provides flexibility with standard and magnum loads, though judicious ammunition selection remains the mark of a thoughtful hunter.
This is a straightforward, honest shotgun built for hunters who understand that simplicity and reliability matter more than complexity.
