Why This Rifle Matters
The .44-40 Winchester was the original centerfire rifle cartridge, introduced with the 1873 Winchester itself. It remains a capable hunting round and a favorite among cowboy action shooters and historical reenactors. The 30-inch octagonal barrel provides excellent sight radius and delivers the ballistic performance this cartridge is known for.
The color case-hardened receiver and blued barrel create the authentic appearance of original 1873 rifles, while the walnut stock provides both beauty and reliable function. This is a rifle built to be used, not merely displayed.
A Rifle for Tradition and Performance
Whether you're interested in cowboy action shooting, hunting, or simply owning a piece of American firearms heritage, the Cimarron 1873 Long Range delivers authentic performance in a package that respects the original design.
