ATI Cavalry Compact 28-Gauge Over-Under
The ATI Cavalry Compact represents a thoughtful approach to shotgun design for shooters who value handling and versatility in the field.
Key Features
- Gauge & Chamber: 28-gauge with 3-inch chambers for modern ammunition flexibility
- Barrel Configuration: 26-inch over-under barrels for quick target acquisition and reduced weight
- Design Philosophy: Compact profile engineered for upland hunting, clay sports, and general shooting
- Handling: Lightweight construction promotes all-day comfort in the field
Performance Characteristics
The 28-gauge represents an excellent middle ground between the light recoil of smaller gauges and the effectiveness needed for most upland game and clay targets. The 3-inch chambers allow use of modern ammunition while maintaining the classic 28-gauge ballistics that experienced shooters appreciate.
The 26-inch barrel length provides superior maneuverability in brush and timber while maintaining adequate sight radius for accurate shooting. This compact configuration makes the Cavalry an excellent choice for younger shooters, those with smaller frames, or anyone seeking a nimble, responsive shotgun.
Ideal For
- Upland game hunting (quail, woodcock, grouse)
- Trap and skeet shooting
- Hunters seeking reduced recoil
- Shooters prioritizing handling over raw power
