Iver Johnson 600 Over/Under Shotgun
The Iver Johnson 600 represents a return to the company's storied heritage of quality shotgun manufacturing. This over/under design combines traditional aesthetics with practical performance for hunters and clay shooters alike.
Key Features
- Gauge & Chamber: 12-gauge with 3" magnum chambers for versatility with standard and magnum loads
- Barrel: 28" ventilated rib barrel provides excellent sight picture and helps manage recoil through weight distribution
- Finish: Matte blonde wood furniture offers a classic, warm appearance while resisting glare
- Action: Over/under configuration provides balanced handling and intuitive operation
- Versatility: Suitable for upland game hunting, waterfowl, and clay target sports
Design Philosophy
The over/under layout places both barrels in a single plane, creating a natural sight line that many shooters prefer. The 28" barrel length strikes an ideal balance between velocity, handling, and sight radius—long enough for consistent patterns yet manageable in the field.
Performance Considerations
The 3" chamber capability means you can load for the conditions at hand, whether using lighter target loads for practice or full-power magnum rounds for challenging game. The ventilated rib helps dissipate heat and provides a clear aiming reference.
This is a shotgun built for shooters who value reliability, tradition, and honest performance.
