Rossi RB22 Compact .22 LR 16.5" Rifle

Rossi RB22 Compact: The Ideal .22 for Growing Shooters

The Rossi RB22 Compact is purpose-built for shooters who need a properly-proportioned .22 rifle. This is not a full-size rifle cut down—it's engineered from the ground up with the younger or smaller-framed shooter in mind.

Key Features

• Barrel Length: 16.5 inches for quick handling and reduced weight
• Capacity: 10-round magazine for extended shooting sessions
• Length of Pull: 10.5 inches—significantly shorter than standard rifles, ensuring proper fit and control
• Sights: Fiber optic front and rear sights for fast target acquisition in varying light conditions
• Stock: Synthetic construction resists weather and requires minimal maintenance
• Caliber: .22 Long Rifle—the ideal cartridge for learning fundamentals, small game hunting, and recreational shooting

Why It Matters

A properly-fitted rifle is essential for developing good shooting habits. When a young shooter or smaller adult uses a full-size rifle, they struggle with reach, sight picture, and recoil management. The RB22 Compact eliminates these problems. The shorter length of pull means the shooter can achieve a natural, comfortable cheek weld and proper trigger finger placement without stretching or contorting.

Practical Application

This rifle excels in youth shooting programs, 4-H clubs, and as a first rifle for adults new to the sport. The .22 Long Rifle cartridge is inherently safe, economical, and produces minimal recoil—allowing shooters to focus on technique rather than flinching. Fiber optic sights provide excellent visibility without the complexity of scopes.

The Rossi RB22 Compact is a serious tool for serious shooting instruction.
