CVA Accura MR-X: Modern Muzzleloading Precision
The Accura MR-X represents a significant step forward in muzzleloading rifle design. Built on a break-action platform, this .45 caliber rifle combines the traditions of muzzleloading with modern materials and ergonomics.
Barrel and Accuracy
The 26-inch Bergara barrel features a 1:22 twist rate optimized for .45 caliber projectiles. The fluted design reduces weight while maintaining rigidity. A stainless steel construction with Nitride and Cerakote finish provides excellent corrosion resistance in harsh hunting conditions. The threaded muzzle (3/4x20) accepts standard muzzle brakes for recoil management.
Stock and Handling
The Soft-Touch Veil Alpine camo X-Treme stock features an adjustable comb for proper scope alignment and cheek weld. The CrushZone recoil pad absorbs impact effectively. A Quake Claw sling comes standard, and the reversible hammer spur accommodates both right and left-handed shooters.
Ignition and Trigger
The rifle uses 209 ignition with a VariFlame plug included. The adjustable trigger ranges from 3 to 4.75 pounds, allowing you to customize the break to your preference.
Optics and Accessories
A KonusPro 3-9x40mm illuminated scope with IR BDC reticle comes bore-sighted and mounted. The Durasight scope rail ensures solid mounting. A carbon fiber collapsible ramrod reduces weight and improves handling.
