How the X Die Works

The X Die features a specially designed mandrel with an integrated expander ball and decapping pin. The patented design works by reducing case mouth growth during the sizing process rather than shortening the case itself. Because of extremely close tolerances between the mandrel and die neck wall, the case neck doesn't thicken as it's pushed back during sizing.
