Sierra MatchKing 6mm 95-Grain HPBT Bullets
Sierra's 6mm 95-grain MatchKing Hollow Point Boat Tail bullets represent a refined alternative to heavier 6mm offerings, engineered specifically for shooters who demand precision at distance.
Design and Performance
Built on the proven foundation of Sierra's acclaimed 6mm 107-grain MatchKing platform, these bullets feature:
- Long ogive profile for superior ballistic efficiency
- Small meplat (tip) for consistent bullet-to-bullet performance
- Improved boat tail design that preserves velocity and reduces wind deflection
- Match-grade construction recognized worldwide for record-setting accuracy
Ideal Applications
These bullets excel in:
- Across-the-course competition shooting
- Long-range target work
- Precision rifle matches
Important Considerations
MatchKing bullets are purpose-built for target shooting and are not recommended for hunting applications. While commonly used for varmint work, their design does not provide the reliable expansion characteristics of purpose-built hunting bullets at equivalent velocities.
