Rock Island Tac Ultra CS .45 ACP Compact 1911
Compact 1911 with 3.5" barrel, full tactical rail, fiber optic sights, skeletonized trigger, and G10 grips. Hand-fitted 4140 steel with parkerized finish and crisp 4-6 lb trigger.
A Tactical 1911 Built for Business
The Rock Island Tac Ultra Compact represents a thoughtful evolution of the classic 1911 platform. This is a working pistol, refined through careful hand-fitting and built to exacting standards.
Construction and Materials
The frame and slide are machined from 4140 ordnance steel, the same material trusted in military applications for generations. Rock Island's hand-fitting process ensures that each component works in harmony with the others—a level of attention that separates quality firearms from merely adequate ones.
Sights and Controls
The pistol features a low-profile adjustable rear sight paired with a high-visibility fiber optic front sight. This combination allows rapid target acquisition in varied lighting conditions. The skeletonized hammer and trigger reduce weight and improve ergonomics, while the adjustable over-travel stop on the trigger prevents unnecessary rearward movement, promoting consistent trigger control.
Barrel and Action
The 3.5-inch button-rifled barrel is supported by a full-length guide rod and protected by a full dust cover. This design enhances accuracy and reliability while keeping the overall package compact enough for carry or duty use.
