Taurus RXP22 22LR Flat Dark Earth/Black DA/SA

Taurus RXP22: A Modern .22 for Serious Shooters

The Taurus RXP22 represents a thoughtful approach to .22 Long Rifle pistol design. This compact firearm combines practical features with reliable performance, making it suitable for training, plinking, and small game hunting.

Key Features

• Caliber: 22 Long Rifle
• Action: Dual-action/single-action (DA/SA) trigger system
• Finish: Flat Dark Earth and black two-tone design
• Barrel: Threaded for suppressor attachment
• Capacity: 18+ rounds (magazine capacity)

Design and Functionality

The DA/SA trigger mechanism provides flexibility. The first shot fires in double-action mode, requiring a longer, heavier trigger press for safety. Subsequent shots transition to single-action, offering a shorter, crisper trigger for improved accuracy.

The threaded barrel opens possibilities for sound suppression, a practical advantage for training sessions and reducing noise pollution at the range.

Practical Applications

This pistol excels as a training tool, allowing shooters to develop fundamentals with minimal recoil and low ammunition costs. The .22 Long Rifle cartridge remains one of the most economical centerfire options available, making extended practice sessions affordable.

The two-tone finish provides visual appeal while the compact profile ensures comfortable handling for shooters of various hand sizes.
