Shadow Systems CR920 War Poet 9mm Compact Pistol

Shadow Systems CR920 War Poet: Purpose-Built Compact Performance

The CR920 War Poet represents a collaboration between Shadow Systems and John Lovell of Warrior Poet Society—a partnership that merges tactical philosophy with refined engineering. This is a pistol designed for serious shooters who demand both capability and carry-ability.

Design Philosophy

John Lovell hand-selected every feature on the War Poet line. The result is a compact 9mm that delivers full-sized performance in a slim 1.05-inch profile. The aggressive slide serrations—front, rear, and topside—are angled for positive manipulation, while a weight-balancing window cut keeps the gun balanced and reduces unnecessary mass.

Mechanical Specifications

• Caliber: 9mm Luger
• Barrel: 3.41 inches, 416R stainless steel with spiral fluting

Ergonomics and Control

The textured wrap-around grip and backstrap provide confident control in all conditions. Front chevron serrations aid in press checks and manipulations. The flat-face trigger with red shoe offers positive feedback and intuitive reset.

Capacity and Included Magazines

The CR920 comes standard with two magazines: a 13-round extended magazine for duty or sport use and a 10-round flush-fit magazine for discrete carry. Both are precision-engineered for reliable feeding.

Why the War Poet

This is not a gun designed by committee. It reflects the hard-won experience of a respected tactical instructor and the manufacturing excellence of Shadow Systems. If you value purposeful design over marketing hype, the CR920 War Poet deserves serious consideration.
