Winchester Xpert 17 WSM Rimfire Rifle
The Winchester Xpert represents a thoughtful approach to modern rimfire rifle design. This bolt-action rifle combines proven accuracy principles with practical features that appeal to both target shooters and small-game hunters.
Accuracy and Trigger Performance
At the heart of the Xpert lies Winchester's Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger system—a purpose-built trigger that eliminates the common frustrations of rimfire shooting. With zero creep, zero take-up, and zero over-travel, this trigger delivers the clean, predictable break that serious shooters demand. The 18-inch precision button-rifled barrel features a Bentz-style chamber and target crown, working together to maximize accuracy potential with rimfire ammunition.
Practical Design
The rifle ships with one 8-round rotary magazine and a two-piece scope base, giving you flexibility in how you configure your setup. The drilled and tapped steel receiver accepts standard optics mounts. An adjustable rear sight and ramped post front sight provide iron sight options out of the box.
Handling and Control
The molded gray polymer stock is lightweight and weather-resistant. An adjustable cheek piece and length-of-pull adjustment ensure proper fit for different shooters. Front and rear sling eyelets allow you to carry the rifle comfortably in the field. The threaded muzzle accepts suppressors or other accessories, with a knurled thread protector included.
The ambidextrous magazine release—accessible via side-mounted rails or release tab—accommodates both left and right-handed shooters with equal ease.
The Bottom Line
The Winchester Xpert 17 WSM is a no-nonsense rimfire rifle built for shooters who value accuracy and reliability. Whether you're punching paper at the range or taking small game, this rifle delivers the performance you expect from Winchester.
