Browning X-Bolt II Speed .300 Win Mag 26" Ovix

Browning X-Bolt II Speed: Purpose-Built for the Hunting Field

The X-Bolt II Speed represents the evolution of a proven platform—a rifle designed from the ground up for hunters who demand both accuracy and practicality in the field. This is not a target rifle masquerading as a hunting tool; it is a hunting rifle engineered with genuine field performance in mind.

Design and Handling

The rifle's fluted sporter-weight barrel strikes the ideal balance between accuracy and portability. Weight matters when you're covering ground, and Browning understood this fundamental principle. The 26-inch barrel provides velocity and sight radius without the burden of unnecessary mass.

The 60-degree bolt lift enables rapid cycling—a genuine advantage when seconds count. The new spiral-fluted bolt features an ergonomic knob design that works intuitively, even when wearing gloves or in cold conditions.

Stock and Ergonomics

The Vari-Tech composite stock offers genuine adjustability:

• Length of pull adjustment accommodates different shooters and shooting positions
• Comb height adjustment allows proper cheek weld for your specific optic setup
• Interchangeable grip options (sporter and vertical) adapt to your shooting style
• Browning Ovix camouflage provides effective concealment across diverse terrain
• Black overmolded grip surfaces ensure positive control in wet conditions

The 1.25-inch Inflex recoil pad absorbs punishment, making the .300 Win Mag manageable for extended shooting sessions.

Accuracy and Precision

The action is bedded at the recoil lug and action screws for stability. The barrel is free-floated, eliminating the variables that compromise accuracy. The new DLX trigger is adjustable and set to hunting weights—crisp enough for precision without the hair-trigger sensitivity that invites mistakes in the field.

Practical Features

The M13x0.75 threaded muzzle accepts the included radial muzzle brake, which genuinely reduces recoil and muzzle rise. Should you prefer a suppressor or different brake, the threading is ready. A thread protector cap is included.

The X-Lock scope mounting system provides secure, repeatable mounting. The bolt unlock button works in conjunction with the top-tang safety, providing an additional measure of control and safety.

The Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish protects the steel better than traditional bluing, resisting corrosion and wear from field use.

The Bottom Line

The X-Bolt II Speed is a rifle for hunters who understand that the best rifle is the one you'll actually carry and shoot well. It delivers accuracy without compromise, handles like a rifle should, and looks the part. This is serious hunting equipment.
