Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian: Precision Meets Practicality
The Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian represents a thoughtful evolution in rifle design—combining proven accuracy principles with modern materials and ergonomics. This is a rifle built for shooters who demand both performance and reliability.
Accuracy You Can Count On
Weatherbys's sub-MOA accuracy guarantee is backed by genuine engineering:
- Cold hammer-forged barrel ensures consistent bore concentricity and longevity
- Match-grade, two-stage trigger provides clean, predictable breaks for precise shot placement
- 1/2x28 threaded muzzle accepts suppressors and muzzle devices for noise reduction or recoil management
- M16-style extractor delivers reliable case extraction in all conditions
Built for the Elements
The Obsidian's weather-resistant Monte Carlo synthetic stock represents practical thinking. Unlike wood, synthetic materials resist moisture absorption, warping, and temperature-induced shifts that can affect zero. The raised comb provides proper cheek weld for scope alignment, while the ergonomic grip angle promotes natural hand positioning and control.
