Diamondback DB15 Obsidian: Modern Precision Engineering
The Diamondback DB15 Obsidian represents a thoughtful approach to modern rifle design. Built on a proven platform, this 6mm ARC rifle combines accuracy, reliability, and practical ergonomics for shooters who demand performance.
Barrel and Accuracy
The 18-inch Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel features a 1:7.5 right-hand twist, ideal for stabilizing modern 6mm ARC projectiles. A black nitride finish protects against corrosion while maintaining a professional appearance. The DB Obsidian muzzle brake effectively manages recoil and muzzle rise, keeping the rifle controllable during rapid fire.
Handling and Control
The 15-inch M-LOK handguard provides extensive mounting options for lights, lasers, and other tactical accessories. An anti-rotation design ensures your attachments stay put. The rifle includes:
- Magpul MOE K2 Grip for comfortable, secure hand placement
- Magpul CTR Carbine Stock for adjustable length of pull
- Breekarms ambi Warhammer charging handle for ambidextrous operation
- Battlearms enhanced bolt catch for reliable operation
Reliability and Build Quality
The forged 7075 T-6 aluminum upper and lower receivers provide strength and durability. The bolt carrier group is shot-peened and magnetic particle inspected to mil-spec standards. A mid-length direct impingement gas system balances reliability with controllability.
Practical Features
At just 6.8 pounds, this rifle remains lightweight and maneuverable. The threaded barrel accepts standard suppressors and muzzle devices. A front quick-detach point allows for sling attachment. The rifle ships with a 26-round metal magazine.
