Knight and Hale HD Slate Pot Call

The HD Slate Surface Pot Call represents the gold standard in traditional turkey calling. This handcrafted instrument combines time-tested materials with proven design to deliver the full spectrum of turkey vocalizations that serious hunters demand.

Construction and Materials

Premium Components:

• Slate surface for authentic, lifelike tone production
• Walnut pot body for durability and resonance
• Hand-matched hickory striker for consistent performance
• Includes conditioning scouring pad
• Handmade in the USA

Performance Capabilities

The slate-and-walnut combination gives you remarkable versatility in the field. You can produce:

• Soft purrs and clucks for close-range encounters when birds are nearby
• Loud, resonant yelps for long-distance communication to locate turkeys
• Cackles and cuts for aggressive calling sequences
• Full-range vocalizations that mimic natural turkey sounds

Technique and Control

The call responds to subtle changes in striker angle, pressure, and motion. The upper third of the surface produces higher pitches ideal for hens, while the center delivers deeper tones. Light pressure and proper hand position give you the control needed for precise sound shaping.

Condition the striking surface with the included scouring pad to adjust tone and responsiveness to match field conditions.

Why This Call Works

This is a call built for hunters who understand that turkey hunting rewards precision and natural-sounding vocalizations. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or developing your calling skills, the HD Slate delivers consistent, convincing turkey sounds when it matters most.
