Knight & Hale HD Cutter Push/Pull Turkey Call

The HD Cutter represents the pinnacle of simplicity in turkey calling. This friction call requires nothing more than one finger to produce the full range of authentic turkey vocalizations—yelps, clucks, cuts, and purrs—making it accessible to hunters of any skill level while delivering the performance that experienced callers demand.

Construction & Design

Built for durability and tone: The HD Cutter is handcrafted in the United States from select cherry wood, a material chosen for its acoustic properties and ability to produce clear, resonant sounds that carry effectively even in challenging wind conditions.

Calling Techniques

The push/pull mechanism is intuitive and responsive:

• Yelp: Push the dowel 5 to 10 times using 1-inch strokes
• Cluck: Execute quick quarter-inch single taps for sharp, distinct notes
• Cut: Push the dowel 3 to 5 times rapidly using short quarter-inch strokes
• Purr: Slowly push the dowel in one 1.5-inch stroke with your index finger
• Fighting Purr: Use two HD Cutters simultaneously, alternating dowel pushes with your index fingers
