Leupold VX-3HD 4.5-14x40 Burnt Bronze Rifle Scope

Leupold VX-3HD Rifle Scope: Precision Optics for the Serious Hunter

The VX-3HD represents the pinnacle of practical hunting optics—a scope built for those who demand both performance and reliability in the field. Its 4.5-14x magnification range handles everything from close timber work to mid-range precision shots, making it equally at home in dense forest or open country.

Optical Excellence

Leupold's Elite Optical System delivers the brightness and clarity you need when it matters most. The scope excels in low-light conditions, providing excellent dawn-to-dusk light transmission, elite-level glare reduction in harsh sunlight, and the resolution that serious hunters demand. The 40mm objective lens gathers sufficient light for reliable performance across a wide range of hunting scenarios.

Innovative Dial System

The one-revolution CDS-ZL (Custom Dial System with ZeroLock) is a game-changer. Simply range your target, rotate the dial to that distance, and your elevation is dialed in. The ZeroLock mechanism ensures the dial only moves when you want it to—push the button to unlock, dial to your zero, and lock it back in place. This eliminates accidental dial rotation and builds confidence in your shot.

Rugged Construction

Key Features:

• 3:1 zoom ratio for versatile magnification
• Scratch-resistant lenses protect optical clarity
• Lockable eyepiece prevents accidental focus shift
• Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction
• Reversible throw lever for ambidextrous operation
• Second focal plane reticle design
• 1-inch tube diameter

Wind-Plex Reticle

The Wind-Plex reticle expands on the proven Duplex design with hash marks that aid in compensating for crosswinds. Each mark represents 1 MOA (approximately 1 inch at 100 yards), with marks extending to 10 MOA on each side. This reticle works with any caliber and pairs seamlessly with the CDS dial system for complete ballistic solutions.

The Bottom Line

The VX-3HD is built for hunters and shooters who refuse to compromise. Its match-grade repeatability, ergonomic controls (readable even with gloves), and lightweight construction make it the ideal workhorse for serious field use. Whether you're pursuing game in low light or making precision shots at the range, the VX-3HD delivers the performance you expect from Leupold.
