Browning X-Bolt 2 Composite Special Rifle
The X-Bolt 2 Composite Special represents a thoughtful evolution in modern rifle design. Browning has engineered this bolt-action rifle specifically for shooters who demand accuracy without unnecessary bulk.
Key Features
- Caliber: .308 Winchester
- Barrel: 22-inch heavy sporter contour, optimized for suppressor use
- Stock: Weather-resistant composite in Olive Drab Green with matte blue metalwork
- Capacity: 4-round magazine
- Action: Proven X-Bolt bolt-action mechanism
Design Philosophy
The composite stock provides genuine weather resistance—essential for field work in variable conditions. The heavy sporter barrel profile balances accuracy with practical weight, while the 22-inch length makes this rifle handy in brush or from a vehicle without sacrificing ballistic performance.
The shorter barrel length pairs naturally with sound suppressors, a practical consideration for hunters and shooters who value hearing protection and reduced report.
Why This Rifle Works
The X-Bolt 2 action is known for its reliability and smooth operation. The .308 Winchester remains the most versatile rifle cartridge available—suitable for medium to large game, precision shooting, and training. This combination of proven action, practical barrel length, and weather-resistant furniture makes the Composite Special a genuine working rifle, not merely a range toy.
Whether you're hunting, training, or shooting competitively, this rifle delivers the accuracy and reliability Browning shooters expect.
