Design and Compatibility

The MOE AK Handguard is engineered as a direct replacement for standard AK-47/AKM/AK-74 pattern rifles. It utilizes your existing hand guard retaining cap (without sling loop) for straightforward installation. The design accepts factory cleaning rods and is compatible with UltiMAK optics mounts.

Important Compatibility Notes

This handguard is not compatible with:

• Yugo pattern rifles
• RPK-style receivers
• Milled receivers

For rifles with a retaining cap sling loop, the loop must be removed for installation. Minor fitting may be required due to typical AK tolerances. The handguard counts as one U.S. compliance part under 922(r) regulations.
