Rock Island Armory Rock Ultra FS 45 ACP 5" Barrel

Rock Island Armory Rock Ultra FS: The Modern 1911

Rock Island Armory has built a reputation for delivering genuine 1911 quality at honest prices. The Rock Ultra FS represents the pinnacle of their standard production line—a full-size, full-featured 1911 chambered in 45 ACP that respects the design's heritage while incorporating modern refinements.

Construction & Materials

The foundation matters. Every Rock Ultra FS is machined from 4140 ordnance steel on precision CNC equipment, then hand-fitted and tested to strict tolerances. This is the same steel specification used in military 1911s for generations. The result is a pistol built to last.

Sights & Handling

The Rock Ultra FS ships with a low-profile adjustable rear sight paired with a high-visibility fiber optic front sight. This combination gives you both precision and quick target acquisition in varied lighting conditions. The 5" barrel features button rifling and rides on a full-length guide rod for reliability and accuracy.

The slide features smooth, snag-free angles—designed for fast, clean draws when seconds count. The beavertail frame and serrated slide prevent slipping under recoil.

Controls & Ergonomics

• Ambidextrous safety for left and right-handed shooters
• Skeletonized hammer and trigger reduce weight and improve feel
• Adjustable overtravel stop on the trigger for a crisp, predictable break
• Battle-ready G10 tactical grips in black and gray for secure handling

Trigger & Performance

Rock Island's factory trigger breaks between 4 and 6 pounds—crisp and predictable right out of the box. No gunsmithing required.
