Rock Island Armory Rock Ultra CS: Compact 1911 Excellence

The Rock Ultra CS represents Rock Island Armory's commitment to delivering a modern, combat-ready 1911 pistol without the premium price tag. Built on the proven 70-series design platform, this compact powerhouse combines traditional 1911 ergonomics with contemporary tactical features.

Construction & Reliability

• 4140 ordnance steel frame and slide machined on precision CNC equipment
• Hand-fitted and tested to strict tolerance standards
• 3.5" button-rifled barrel with full-length guide rod for enhanced accuracy and durability
• Parkerized matte finish provides a durable, low-gloss protective coating

Sights & Controls

The Rock Ultra CS ships with a low-profile adjustable rear sight paired with a high-visibility fiber optic front sight—a combination that works equally well in bright daylight or low-light situations. The slide features aggressive serrations for positive grip during manipulations.

Ergonomics & Handling

• Beavertail frame prevents hammer bite during firing
• Snag-free, angled design facilitates quick draws from concealment or duty carry
• Skeletonized hammer and trigger reduce weight and improve control
• Adjustable overtravel stop fine-tunes trigger performance
• Ambidextrous safety accommodates both right and left-handed shooters
• Black/Gray G10 tactical grips provide secure purchase in all conditions

Performance

The Rock Ultra CS feeds 45 ACP ammunition from a 7+1 magazine capacity. The factory trigger breaks at 4 to 6 pounds—crisp and predictable right out of the box, requiring no gunsmithing to achieve reliable performance.

This is a serious working pistol for serious shooters.
