Haydel's BT-85 Blue Wing Teal Duck Call
The BT-85 is purpose-built to replicate the distinctive screechy quacks of blue wing and cinnamon teal ducks. This is a specialized call designed for hunters pursuing these smaller, fast-moving dabbling ducks.
Key Features
- Reed system design produces authentic teal vocalizations
- Blue acrylic construction provides durability and visibility in the field
- Open call design allows for natural, responsive duck communication
- Distinct from green wing teal calls, which produce whistles rather than quacks
Performance
Teal ducks respond to precise, high-pitched quacking sounds. The BT-85's reed system is engineered to cut through field noise and reach these keen-eared birds. Whether you're hunting early season when teal are abundant or pursuing late-season flocks, this call delivers the vocalizations these ducks expect to hear.
Best Practices
Mastering teal calls requires practice. Start with soft, natural quacks and adjust your cadence based on duck response. The screechy nature of teal vocalizations means this call works best when used with restraint—less is often more when calling these intelligent waterfowl.
