The Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus: Modern Shotgun Engineering
The Beretta A400 Xtreme Plus represents the pinnacle of semiautomatic shotgun design for hunters and sport shooters who demand reliability, speed, and comfort in the field.
Performance and Speed
Beretta's proprietary Blink technology cycles 36 percent faster than conventional semiauto shotguns, enabling rapid follow-up shots when seconds matter. This speed advantage translates directly to improved performance in both upland and waterfowl hunting scenarios, as well as competitive clay target shooting.
Recoil Management
The A400 Xtreme Plus employs a sophisticated recoil mitigation system:
- Kick-Off Stock: Combines with an ultra-soft Micro-Core butt pad to absorb punishment
- Parallel Recoil Design: Stock geometry directs recoil parallel to your cheek for reduced felt impact
- Soft Comb: Further cushions recoil at the cheek mount
- Steelium Plus Barrel: Advanced metallurgy reduces vibration and improves patterning consistency
Barrel and Accuracy
The 26-inch Steelium Plus barrel features lengthened forcing cones for superior patterning across all hunting loads. A step rib with integral mid-bead and fiber optic front sight provides fast target acquisition. Five black extended Optima HP choke tubes allow customization for any hunting situation.
Durability and Protection
Aqua Technology protective coating shields all metal surfaces from water, powder, sand, and salt spray—essential for serious waterfowl hunters and coastal shooters. The OptimaBore HP barrel finish offers exceptional corrosion resistance.
