The FN 509 Tactical represents the evolution of FN's proven modular handgun platform. Built on the architecture that impressed the U.S. Army during its Modular Handgun Trials, this pistol combines proven reliability with modern tactical features.

Optics-Ready Design

The FN 509 Tactical features FN's patented Low-Profile Optics Mounting System, which accommodates more than ten commercially-available miniature red dot optics. The system allows co-witnessing with suppressor-height night sights and remains adaptable to future optics releases without requiring direct slide milling. The included slide cap features raised sight wings to protect iron sight alignment during handling and provides a textured ramp for administrative manipulation.

Barrel & Suppressor Compatibility

A cold hammer-forged stainless-steel barrel with target crown and ½" x 28 threads accepts the vast majority of 9mm suppressors on the market. The threaded barrel comes with a thread cap featuring an integrated O-ring to prevent loosening during use.
