Why the SMR?
The Single Mission Rifle maintains 90% parts commonality with the standard MRAD while delivering a lighter, more compact package. By fixing the caliber at the factory and utilizing a traditional barrel nut design, Barrett eliminated unnecessary complexity without sacrificing the precision and reliability that define the MRAD line. This rifle is equally at home on the range or in the field.
