Winchester XPR Compact 6.5 PRC 22" Bolt-Action Rifle

Winchester XPR Compact: Purpose-Built for Modern Hunters

The Winchester XPR Compact is a no-nonsense bolt-action rifle engineered for hunters who demand accuracy, reliability, and quality in a manageable platform. This 6.5 PRC model combines Winchester's legendary craftsmanship with modern features that work when it matters most.

Trigger and Safety

At the heart of every XPR lies Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System—a precision-engineered mechanism built from polished, hardened carbon steel with a blued finish for durability and corrosion resistance. The two-position safety operates intuitively with your firing hand thumb, while the bolt release button allows you to cycle unfired cartridges without disengaging the safety. A cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both tactile and visual confirmation of the rifle's ready state.

Bolt and Receiver

The robust XPR bolt is machined from chromoly steel and through-hardened for strength. Its three front locking lugs and short 60-degree lift minimize scope interference during cycling. A nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth operation and corrosion resistance in demanding conditions. The drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver accepts optics and accessories with confidence.

Barrel and Accuracy

The 22" chromoly steel barrel is precisely button-rifled to deliver consistent accuracy across a wide range of bullet weights and types. The free-floating barrel design eliminates pressure points that rob accuracy. This Compact model features a Perma-Cote matte gray metal finish for weather resistance.

Stock and Handling

The synthetic stock incorporates Inflex Technology recoil pad to manage recoil effectively. A generous trigger guard opening accommodates gloved hands. At 41.25" overall length and 7 lbs, this Compact configuration balances firepower with maneuverability in thick cover or from a stand.

Capacity and Magazine

The detachable single-stack box magazine holds 3 rounds of 6.5 PRC ammunition, keeping the rifle trim while providing adequate capacity for most hunting situations.
