Cold Steel Spetsnaz Trench Shovel 30-Inch

Cold Steel Spetsnaz Trench Shovel

The Spetsnaz Trench Shovel represents a time-tested design refined through generations of military use. This is a serious tool for serious work.

Design and Construction

Blade and Edge

• Medium carbon steel construction provides durability and edge retention
• Broad, flat blade design maximizes digging efficiency
• Three sharp edges enable multiple cutting and chopping applications
• Black finish resists corrosion in harsh field conditions

Handle

• Stout hardwood (American ash) construction withstands heavy use
• Natural finish provides good grip characteristics
• 30-inch total length offers extended reach and leverage

Practical Applications

This shovel excels at tasks where versatility matters:

• Fortification: Digging foxholes and bunkers with speed and efficiency
• Camp Work: Chopping branches and preparing firewood
• Shelter Building: Cutting and moving materials for field construction
• Water Crossing: Serving as an improvised paddle in emergency situations
• Sport Use: Excellent balance and weight distribution make it suitable for recreational throwing activities

A Tool with History

The Spetsnaz design draws from military traditions where a single tool must perform multiple critical functions. The enhanced 30-inch length provides 50% more reach than compact models, with a proportionally larger blade head for increased material displacement. This makes it particularly effective for serious digging and construction work in field environments.

This is not a decorative piece—it's a working tool built to handle demanding conditions.
