KA-BAR Backpack Kaster Fishing Kit, Black

The KA-BAR Backpack Kaster: Ultralight Fishing Anywhere

The KA-BAR Backpack Kaster represents thoughtful design for the outdoorsman who refuses to choose between mobility and capability. This American-made fishing system weighs a mere quarter-pound, making it an ideal companion for backpacking, hiking, and wilderness travel where every ounce matters.

Design and Construction

Crafted from durable Ultramid material, the Kaster combines three essential components into one compact package:

• Handle: Inspired by the legendary KA-BAR USMC Fighting/Utility Knife, featuring a hollow storage compartment for extra fishing line and lures
• Head: The attachment point for your fishing line with a secure plastic clamp device to keep your line in place when not in use
• Integrated Storage: Dedicated space within the handle eliminates the need for separate tackle containers

Practical Advantages

This lightweight system eliminates the burden of traditional fishing tackle boxes. The handle's hollow design provides genuine utility—store backup line, small lures, or emergency supplies without adding weight. The included clamp secures your line reliably, preventing tangles and line loss during transport.

Whether you're pursuing trout in mountain streams or panfish in backcountry lakes, the Backpack Kaster delivers functional fishing capability in a package that won't weigh down your pack.
