Hunters Specialties Spring Yelper Box Call

The Spring Yelper Box Call

The Spring Yelper represents a thoughtful departure from traditional turkey calls. Its innovative spring-loaded design—a compression/torsion spring mechanism—delivers reliable vocalizations while maintaining the simplicity that serious turkey hunters demand.

Design and Construction

Crafted from American poplar and walnut, this single-sided box call combines durability with acoustic performance. The spring mechanism serves dual purposes: it controls tuning through adjustable screw depth and enables foolproof one-handed operation.

Operation

The beauty of this call lies in its simplicity. Whether you stroke, tap, or slide the paddle, you'll produce authentic turkey vocalizations:

• Yelps - The fundamental call for locating and communicating with turkeys
• Cuts - Sharp, aggressive sounds that demand attention
• Clucks - Natural feeding and contentment sounds
• Whines - High-pitched vocalizations for specific situations
• Purrs - Soft, reassuring sounds that close the deal

The automatic return feature means the call resets itself after each stroke, eliminating the learning curve and ensuring consistent results in the field.

Why It Works

This is a call designed for hunters who value reliability over complexity. The spring mechanism removes guesswork from operation, allowing you to focus on woodsmanship and positioning rather than call mechanics. Made in the USA, it represents the kind of purposeful engineering that separates quality hunting equipment from the rest.
