Ruger LC Carbine 10mm 16.25" Threaded Barrel

Ruger LC Carbine: Compact Power in 10mm Auto

The Ruger LC Carbine represents a modern approach to intermediate-range firepower. Chambered in 10mm Auto, this rifle combines practical ergonomics with genuine versatility for both sport shooting and defensive applications.

Design and Handling

The LC Carbine's bolt-over-barrel design places the magazine in the grip, creating excellent balance and control. With the adjustable folding stock collapsed to its shortest length of pull, the entire rifle measures just 28.60 inches—ideal for vehicle storage, home defense, or navigating tight spaces. The stock adjusts for length of pull and accepts most AR-pattern stocks for customization.

Barrel and Accuracy

A 16.25-inch alloy steel barrel with .578"-28 threading accepts popular muzzle devices including brakes, flash hiders, and suppressors. The threaded design ships with a thread protector. A full-length Picatinny rail atop the receiver accommodates optics, while Ruger Rapid Deploy folding sights provide adjustable windage and elevation for backup aiming.

Ergonomics and Controls

Ambidextrous controls define this rifle. You'll find right and left-hand bolt releases, reversible charging handle, ambidextrous manual safety, and extended magazine release. The ergonomic design works equally well for left- and right-handed shooters.

Reliability and Trigger

The Secure Action fire-control system features a protected internal hammer and bladed-safety trigger. Expect a short, smooth pull with clean break and positive reset. Safety features include integrated trigger safety, lightweight firing pin, and hammer catch to prevent unintended firing.

Handguard and Accessories

A CNC-milled, Type III hard-coat anodized aluminum handguard features M-LOK slots on seven sides for mounting lights, lasers, and other accessories. Multiple quick-detach sling sockets provide mounting versatility.

Magazine Compatibility

The LC Carbine accepts Glock-pattern full-size 10mm magazines—commonly available and affordable. The rifle ships with one 30-round magazine, M-LOK quick-detach sling socket, and hex wrenches for field disassembly.

The Bottom Line

The LC Carbine delivers 10mm power in a compact, ergonomic package. Whether you're exploring a new caliber or seeking a practical rifle for varied shooting disciplines, Ruger's LC Carbine merits serious consideration.
