Faxon Duty Gunner 400 Legend 16" Nitride Barrel
Faxon's Gunner profile barrel balances durability with weight savings, combining Government and Pencil profile benefits. 400 Legend, 16-inch, 4150 CMV steel with Nitride finish for reliable performance.
The Faxon Duty Gunner Barrel: Balance and Durability
The Gunner profile represents a thoughtful compromise in barrel design. Faxon engineered this profile to deliver the proven durability of a Government-profile barrel while capturing the weight savings and handling advantages of a Pencil profile.
What This Means for You
Better Balance: By shifting the barrel's mass distribution, the Gunner profile brings the rifle's balance point closer to your body. This reduces shooter fatigue during extended range sessions, training courses, or hunting expeditions.
Versatile Performance: Whether you're zeroing at the range, running a training class, or pursuing game, this barrel handles the demands of serious shooting without unnecessary weight.
