Ruger Precision bolt-action rifle in 6.5 PRC with 26" threaded barrel, adjustable Marksman trigger, free-float handguard, and fully adjustable buttstock. Includes two 10-round magazines.
The Ruger Precision represents a fundamental shift in how modern rifles are engineered for accuracy. This is not a hunting rifle retrofitted for precision shooting—it is purpose-built from the ground up for shooters who demand consistency at distance.
Receiver and Bolt System The upper receiver and one-piece bolt are precision CNC-machined from pre-hardened chrome-moly steel, minimizing distortion under stress. The three-lug bolt features a 70-degree throw with dual cocking cams and a full-diameter nitrided bolt body for corrosion resistance and smooth operation. An oversized bolt handle provides positive manipulation even with gloved hands or in adverse conditions.
Barrel and Rifling A cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R rifling delivers exceptional accuracy through minimum bore and groove dimensions, minimum headspace, and a centralized chamber. The heavy-contour (.850" at the muzzle) design resists heat distortion during sustained fire. A Ruger Precision muzzle brake effectively reduces recoil while minimizing blast signature to the shooter's sides.
The Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger is externally adjustable from 2.25 to 5 pounds, allowing you to fine-tune break characteristics to your preference. An ambidextrous manual safety accommodates both right- and left-handed shooters. A wrench for trigger adjustment is conveniently stored in the bolt shroud.
Handguard and Rail System The 15" aluminum free-float handguard is hard-coat anodized and features Magpul M-LOK slots on all four sides. This design provides superior scope clearance for long-range optics and allows easy mounting of M-LOK-compatible accessories. The 20 MOA Picatinny rail is secured with #8-40 screws for increased elevation adjustment range at distance.
Buttstock The fully adjustable buttstock conforms to any shooter's anatomy. Adjust length-of-pull, cheek rest height and horizontal position, and buttpad height independently. This flexibility ensures consistent cheek weld and shoulder contact—critical variables for precision shooting.
Grip The Magpul MOE-K2-XL grip provides a more vertical grip angle in a full-sized design. Optional storage cores allow you to stow small items or gear within the grip itself.
The patented multi-magazine interface functions interchangeably with AICS, M110/SR-25, DPMS, and Magpul-style magazines (compatible with some M14 magazines). This flexibility means you can source ammunition support from multiple manufacturers. Two 10-round Magpul PMAG magazines are included.
The in-line recoil path manages recoil directly from the rear of the receiver to the buttstock, bypassing traditional bedding systems. This design maximizes accuracy potential by eliminating variables that degrade precision.
The barrel can be replaced by a competent gunsmith using headspace gauges, extending the rifle's service life. A bolt disassembly tool stored in the billet aluminum bolt shroud facilitates easy striker channel cleaning. The magazine well front is contoured for positive grip when bracing against shooting supports.
The Ruger Precision is a serious tool for serious shooters—whether your focus is long-range competition, precision hunting, or tactical training.
