Barrel and Action

The heart of any precision rifle is its barrel. Ruger equips this Custom with a cold hammer-forged, stainless steel barrel featuring 5R rifling at minimum bore and groove dimensions. The heavy .950" contour at the muzzle resists harmonic vibration, a critical factor in consistent accuracy. An APA muzzle brake (.264 bore) effectively manages recoil, allowing faster target reacquisition and cleaner shot observation—essential advantages in competition or when precision matters.

Trigger and Controls

Factory-installed TriggerTech Two-Stage Trigger with Frictionless Release Technology provides an exceptionally crisp break with minimized overtravel and a short, tactile reset. Trigger pull weight adjustment screws allow customization to your preference. The ambidextrous manual safety and improved firing pin geometry ensure reliable function across a wide variety of primers.

Stock and Ergonomics

The fully adjustable buttstock conforms to any shooter's needs: length-of-pull, cheek rest height and horizontal position, and buttpad height all adjust independently. The Magpul MOE-K2+ grip provides a vertical grip angle with rubber overmolding for positive control. M-LOK slots machined into the magazine well accept match savers and other accessories.

Handguard and Mounting

The aluminum free-float handguard features a target-style flat bottom for improved stability and includes an integral 1.50" dovetail (compatible with RRS S.O.A.R. and similar quick-detach systems). A 20 MOA Picatinny rail provides ample mounting surface for optics. The in-line recoil path manages forces directly from receiver to buttstock, maximizing accuracy potential without traditional bedding systems.

Practical Features
