Thompson Center Encore ProHunter 360 Buckhammer 26"

Thompson Center Encore ProHunter 360 Buckhammer Barrel

The Encore ProHunter represents a time-tested approach to rifle versatility: the interchangeable barrel system. This 26" stainless steel barrel in 360 Buckhammer gives you access to a modern, efficient cartridge without committing to a dedicated rifle.

Key Features

• Caliber: 360 Buckhammer—a modern straight-wall cartridge designed for hunting medium to large game
• Barrel Length: 26" stainless steel with fluted profile for reduced weight and improved heat dissipation
• Muzzle: Threaded at 11/16-24 for suppressor or muzzle brake compatibility
• Twist Rate: 1:12 for stable bullet performance
• Finish: Corrosion-resistant stainless steel

Why the Encore System Works

The Encore platform allows you to build a complete hunting rifle by simply swapping barrels. Own one receiver, and you can pursue everything from whitetail to elk by changing barrels. The 360 Buckhammer brings modern ballistics to a straight-wall design, making it legal in many states that restrict rifle hunting to straight-wall cartridges.

Practical Considerations

The fluted barrel reduces overall weight without sacrificing rigidity. The threaded muzzle adds flexibility for sound management or recoil reduction. This barrel pairs with any Encore receiver and accepts standard Encore furniture and optics mounts.
