While competitors offer simple rectangular blocks, Area 419 recognized a fundamental design flaw: standard magazine bases are angled, yet most extensions attach parallel to the magazine body. This misalignment works marginally for +2 rounds but fails under higher capacity demands.
The Correct Approach
Area 419's solution involves precision machining the attachment rail at an angle that matches your magazine's geometry. This ensures the cartridge column travels straight into the extension without deviation—a refinement requiring extra milling time and 4th-axis machining, but delivering superior reliability.
Universal Compatibility
Designed to work across multiple precision rifle platforms:
- American Rifle Company (ARC) 10-round magazines: +4 to +5 rounds
- AICS and Accurate Mag 10-round: +3 to +4 rounds
- AICS and Accurate Mag 5-round: +2 to +3 rounds
- Accurate WSM 3 or 7-round: +3 rounds
Note: Not compatible with Magpul or other polymer AI magazines, or AI AW magazines with fixed floorplates.
