Construction & Materials
Burn Proof Gear uses aerospace and military-grade fire retardant materials throughout this cover. The outer layer features DuPont Kevlar, rated for continuous operation up to 1000 degrees Fahrenheit—sufficient for approximately 180 consecutive rounds of M855 ammunition. The inner liner consists of fiberglass mesh sleeving with an even higher thermal rating of 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, providing a dual-layer thermal barrier that keeps your hands and gear safe from suppressor heat.
