The Chiappa Rhino 60DS: A Modern Revolver Design
The Chiappa Rhino 60DS represents a departure from conventional revolver design, offering shooters a unique platform that combines modern ergonomics with proven reliability. This .357 Magnum revolver is purpose-built for those who appreciate distinctive engineering and practical performance.
Key Features
- Caliber & Capacity: Chambered in .357 Magnum with 6-round cylinder capacity
- Barrel Length: 6" barrel for extended sight radius and velocity
- Sighting System: Adjustable fiber optic front sight for rapid target acquisition in varied lighting conditions
- Finish & Grips: OD Green frame and barrel paired with walnut grips for a classic aesthetic
- Dimensions: 10.5" overall length, 32.96 oz weight—manageable for extended shooting sessions
Design Philosophy
The Rhino's lower bore axis—positioning the barrel beneath the cylinder's center—reduces muzzle rise and recoil impulse. This design advantage makes follow-up shots faster and more accurate, particularly when firing full-power .357 Magnum loads.
The adjustable sighting system allows you to fine-tune your point of impact at various distances, essential for both defensive preparation and sport shooting applications.
Practical Considerations
This revolver suits shooters seeking a reliable, distinctive platform for sport shooting, training, or personal defense. The walnut grips provide comfortable handling, while the OD Green finish offers a modern tactical appearance without sacrificing classic revolver appeal.
