Charles Daly 202AE Over/Under 20-Gauge Shotgun

Charles Daly 202AE Over/Under Shotgun

The Charles Daly 202AE represents a practical, no-nonsense approach to shotgun design—the kind of gun that gets the job done without unnecessary complications.

Key Features

• Gauge & Chamber: 20-gauge with 3-inch chamber capacity
• Barrel Configuration: 26-inch barrels optimized for balance and handling
• Receiver Finish: Silver receiver with blued barrel finish
• Extraction System: Reliable extractor mechanism for straightforward operation
• Action Type: Over/under design provides superior sight picture and natural pointing characteristics

Design Philosophy

The over/under configuration has proven itself across generations of shooters. The single sighting plane allows for faster target acquisition, while the stacked barrel arrangement keeps the gun's profile compact and manageable. The 20-gauge chambering delivers adequate power for upland game and clay shooting while producing less recoil than larger gauges—a genuine advantage for extended shooting sessions.

The 26-inch barrels strike a balance between handling speed and sight radius. This length works equally well in dense cover or on open ground, making the 202AE a versatile choice for hunters and sport shooters alike.

Practical Considerations

The extractor system is straightforward and reliable. After each shot, spent shells are partially ejected, allowing for quick removal and reloading. This design has served shooters well for decades and requires minimal maintenance.

The silver receiver with blued barrels presents a classic, professional appearance while providing durable protection against the elements.
