Barrel and Gas System
The heart of this rifle is a 16-inch cold hammer-forged chrome moly vanadium barrel with a 1:7 twist rate. The barrel features a government profile and is chrome lined for extended service life. A mid-length direct impingement gas system with pinned low-profile gas block ensures reliable operation across a wide range of ammunition. Every barrel is HP/MPI tested to military standards.
Receiver and Action
Both upper and lower receivers are CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and Type III hard coat anodized for durability. The lower receiver includes an enhanced flared magazine well for faster reloads and a rear QD swivel attachment point. The upper receiver features proper M4 feed ramps and indexing marks. The bolt carrier group is M16 profile with a properly staked gas key and chrome lining.
Ergonomics and Modularity
The Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 handguard uses M-LOK attachment for maximum accessory compatibility. The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle features CNC machined aluminum construction with stainless steel roll pins. A 6-position receiver extension allows you to dial in the perfect length of pull. Both the buttstock and pistol grip are glass-filled polymer with soft touch overmolding for comfortable shooting.
Muzzle Device
A Daniel Defense flash suppressor machined from 17-4 PH stainless steel and salt bath nitride finished reduces muzzle signature while maintaining reliability.
