Kick's Gobblin' Thunder 12GA Turkey Choke .655
Ported turkey choke tube for Beretta/Benelli shotguns. Features conical parallel design with directional diagonal ports for cleaner patterns, reduced recoil, and faster follow-up shots.
Engineered for Turkey Hunting Excellence
The Kick's Gobblin' Thunder is a purpose-built turkey choke tube that transforms your Beretta or Benelli shotgun into a dedicated turkey hunting tool. This .655 constriction choke is designed specifically for 12-gauge shotguns with Beretta/Benelli Mobil threading.
Distinctive Design Features
Conical Parallel Construction Unlike conventional chokes, the Gobblin' Thunder combines a traditional conical cone with a parallel section—roughly 1 inch of constant constriction. This hybrid design delivers superior shot column control and consistency.
Directional Diagonal Porting The choke's signature feature is its angled port design. These ports angle outward at 135 degrees from the shooter's perspective, creating sharp forward edges inside the tube that stabilize and slow the wad. This aggressive wad control results in cleaner, tighter patterns uncompromised by wad interference.
Practical Advantages
- Reduced Recoil and Muzzle Jump: The port design mitigates felt recoil, enabling faster, more accurate follow-up shots in the field
- Minimal Side Blast: The 135-degree port angle directs blast forward, reducing the side blast common in traditional ported chokes—a significant advantage in tight spaces like duck blinds and trap fields
- Low-Maintenance Ports: The port design resists fouling and stays cleaner than conventional ported chokes
- Compact Profile: The external ported section extends only 1¾ inches from the muzzle and remains unobtrusive during shooting
Proven Performance
The Gobblin' Thunder has earned its reputation through competition success, including multiple NWTF still target shoot victories and Ladies Open Competition wins. It has also contributed to numerous grand slam hunts.
The Bottom Line
If you own a factory-threaded Beretta or Benelli 10 or 12 gauge, the Gobblin' Thunder converts your shotgun into a serious turkey hunting specialist. The combination of intelligent porting, wad control, and recoil reduction makes this choke a trusted choice for hunters who demand clean patterns and reliable performance.
