Manticore Nightbrake 24mm Compensator
The Manticore Nightbrake is a purpose-built muzzle device designed specifically for AK-74 pattern rifles. This compensator addresses one of the primary challenges shooters face with the AK platform: managing muzzle rise and recoil impulse during rapid fire.
Design and Function
Port Configuration
- 18 ports distributed across the upper 270° of the device
- Strategic port placement directs expanding gases to counteract muzzle rise
- Reduces felt recoil and helps maintain sight picture during strings of fire
Mechanical Specifications
- 24mm thread pitch, the standard for most AK-74 rifles
- Machined from 8620 steel for durability and longevity
- Black finish resists corrosion and blends with most rifle platforms
- Accommodates projectiles up to .311" in diameter
Practical Benefits
Whether you're running your AK-74 at the range or in competition, the Nightbrake's compensator design helps you shoot faster and more accurately. The reduction in muzzle rise means quicker sight recovery between shots, translating to tighter shot groups and improved overall performance.
This is a straightforward, effective solution for shooters who demand better control from their AK-platform rifles.
