Manticore Nightbrake 1/2x28 AR-15 Compensator
Precision-engineered compensator for AR-15 rifles with 1/2x28 threads. Eighteen strategically positioned ports reduce recoil and muzzle rise while maintaining sight picture. Compatible with .30 caliber and smaller projectiles.
Fits: AR-15
Manticore Nightbrake Compensator
The Manticore Nightbrake represents a thoughtful approach to managing recoil and muzzle rise on modern sporting rifles. This compensator is engineered for shooters who demand better control without sacrificing reliability or simplicity.
Key Features
- Thread Compatibility: 1/2x28 threads fit standard AR-15 barrels, SIG 556 platforms, and other commonly threaded rifle barrels
- Recoil Management: Eighteen precisely positioned ports distributed across the upper 270 degrees of the device work in concert to redirect muzzle gases
- Muzzle Rise Reduction: The port configuration effectively stabilizes the rifle during rapid fire, allowing faster target reacquisition
- Projectile Clearance: Safely accommodates projectiles up to .30 caliber without interference
- Durable Finish: Black oxide coating provides corrosion resistance and a professional appearance
Design Philosophy
The Nightbrake's port arrangement reflects practical shooting experience. By concentrating gas redirection in the upper hemisphere, the compensator minimizes downward pressure while maximizing upward gas venting—the physics that actually control muzzle rise. This design keeps your sight picture steady between shots, whether you're running a precision rifle or a tactical carbine.
Simple, effective, and built to last.
