Practical Design
The 856's compact dimensions make it an ideal choice for those seeking a reliable defensive revolver without the bulk of larger models. The integrated Viridian laser grip provides a dual-sighting system, offering backup to the iron sights or serving as a primary aiming reference in low-light conditions.
The stainless steel construction resists corrosion, while the rubber grip ensures a secure hold during presentation and firing. The transfer bar safety prevents accidental discharge if the revolver is dropped.

Taurus has engineered the 856 to deliver consistent performance in a size that works for everyday carry. The double-action/single-action trigger system allows for both deliberate aimed fire and rapid response when circumstances demand it.
