Traditions Buckstalker XT .50 Caliber Muzzleloader
Traditions has refined the proven Buckstalker platform into the XT—a modern, efficient, and reliable muzzleloader designed for serious hunters who demand accuracy and dependability in the field.
Barrel and Accuracy
The 24-inch chromoly steel barrel delivers a perfect balance of portability and performance. This premium-grade steel construction keeps the rifle lightweight while maintaining the strength and accuracy necessary for ethical hunting. The 1:28" twist rifling is optimized for .50 caliber projectiles, and the rifle is accurate to 200+ yards—more than sufficient for most hunting situations.
Trigger System and Safety
The Elite XT trigger system represents a significant upgrade over previous generations. It features a precise, crisp trigger pull with a rebounding hammer and manual cross-block safety. The Dual Safety System configuration makes this one of the safest muzzleloaders available, giving you confidence in every shot.
Loading and Breech Plug
The Accelerator breech plug is a game-changer. It removes by hand in just three turns—no tools required. This stainless steel component accepts both loose black powder and pelletized powder, giving you flexibility in the field. The Speed Load System ensures easy, consistent loading for faster follow-up shots.
Handling and Comfort
The Quick-T ramrod handle functions as both a palm-saver and T-handle grip, reducing fatigue during loading. The ramrod accepts screw-in brass jags for cleaning and maintenance. Extended ambidextrous hammer extensions and a fast action release button enhance handling for shooters of all hand sizes.
