The CXS employs Browning's proven Citori platform, featuring a transverse-mounted, full-width tapered locking bolt that engages corresponding recesses in the rear barrel lugs. This robust locking system, combined with a full-width hinge pin extending across the receiver, delivers the strength and reliability expected from a premium shotgun.
The 30-inch ventilated rib barrel wears a polished blued finish and features a back-bored design that reduces felt recoil while maintaining pattern density. The receiver is similarly finished in polished blued steel, creating a classic, professional appearance.
