Browning Citori CXT 12-Gauge Over-Under Shotgun
The Citori CXT is a versatile 12-gauge over-under built for trap and multiple target disciplines. Features a 32-inch ported barrel, Invector-Plus Midas chokes, triple trigger system, Monte Carlo walnut stock, and gold-enhanced receiver.
The Browning Citori CXT: Versatility Meets Performance
The Citori CXT represents Browning's answer to the shooter who refuses to be limited by a single discipline. This 12-gauge over-under shotgun delivers the performance required for trap shooting while maintaining the flexibility to excel in multiple target sports—all without requiring a second gun.
Design and Construction
Browning's commitment to craftsmanship is evident throughout the Citori CXT. The gun features a transverse-mounted, full-width tapered locking bolt that engages a matching tapered recess in the rear barrel lugs, ensuring rock-solid lockup and reliability. The hinge pin extends completely across the receiver for maximum strength and durability.
Chrome-plated chambers protect against the wear and tear of thousands of rounds, while the polished blued steel receiver and barrels deliver a classic, professional appearance.
Barrel and Choke System
The 32-inch ported barrels reduce recoil and muzzle rise, allowing faster target acquisition and follow-up shots. The Invector-Plus Midas choke system includes Full, Improved Modified, and Modified tubes, giving you flexibility for different shooting situations. The ventilated rib aids in sight picture and helps dissipate heat during extended shooting sessions.
Ergonomics and Comfort
The Grade II American black walnut Monte Carlo stock features a gloss finish and is cut with 18 lines-per-inch checkering for secure handling. With a 14 3/8-inch length of pull and an Inflex recoil pad, the CXT fits most shooters comfortably and manages recoil effectively. The ivory bead front sight provides a clear aiming reference.
The Triple Trigger Advantage
The innovative triple trigger system allows you to select which barrel fires first via the barrel selector, then fires the remaining barrel on the second trigger pull. This flexibility is invaluable when transitioning between trap and other shooting disciplines.
