Barrel and Chamber
The Criterion Core barrel is chambered in .223 Wylde, a versatile cartridge that accepts both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. The 11.5-inch length provides a balance between velocity and handling, while the 1/8 twist rate stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights. Chrome-lined and phosphate-coated 4150 chromium-molybdenum steel ensures durability and corrosion resistance. The barrel features M4 feedramps and a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle.
Upper Receiver and Gas System
The forged 7075 T6 aluminum upper receiver is hard-coat anodized for protection and features proper T-markings. A carbine-length direct impingement gas system provides reliable operation across various shooting conditions.
