Weatherby Orion I 20-Gauge Over/Under Shotgun

The Weatherby Orion I: A Refined Upland Companion

The Orion I represents thoughtful shotgun design—a 20-gauge over/under that refuses to compromise between function and elegance. Whether you're pursuing chukar in the mountains or quail in the desert, this shotgun delivers the reliability and handling characteristics serious bird hunters demand.

What Sets It Apart

The Orion's most distinctive feature is its slim, low-profile action. Rather than relying on bulky locking mechanisms, Weatherby engineered a pair of sliding locking bars that nest above the automatic ejectors. This design philosophy results in a noticeably lighter, more graceful gun than many competitors—the 20-gauge weighs just 6 pounds.

Built for the Field

Barrel and Action:

• 26-inch barrels with vented top rib and brass bead front sight
• Chrome-lined bores for durability and easy maintenance

• Automatic ejectors throw empty hulls clear of the chamber

• Ambidextrous top tang safety and barrel selector
• Choose which barrel fires first based on your choke selection and bird presentation
• Prince of Wales grip for secure, comfortable handling

Stock and Finish:

• Grade "A" Turkish walnut with satin finish
• Matte blue metalwork that resists glare and reflects a professional appearance
• Balanced proportions that mount naturally to the shoulder
