Weatherby Orion Compact 20-Gauge Over-Under Shotgun
Weatherby's Orion Compact 20-gauge over-under shotgun features a shorter length of pull designed for smaller-statured shooters. The 26-inch ventilated rib barrel, matte blued steel receiver, and oiled walnut stock with Prince of Wales grip deliver classic Weatherby quality in a more manageable package.
Weatherby Orion Compact: Shotgun Excellence Scaled Right
The Weatherby Orion Compact represents a thoughtful approach to shotgun design—taking the proven over-under platform and tailoring it for shooters who need a more proportionate fit. This isn't a compromise; it's engineering with purpose.
Design for Fit and Function
Length of Pull — The shorter length of pull is the defining feature here. For smaller-statured shooters, proper fit means better control, faster target acquisition, and reduced fatigue during extended shooting sessions. This matters whether you're at the trap range or in the field.
20-Gauge Efficiency — The 20-gauge chambering delivers adequate shot capacity with reduced recoil compared to 12-gauge alternatives. The 3-inch chamber provides flexibility in ammunition selection without unnecessary punishment to the shoulder.
Build Quality You Can Trust

- Matte Blued Finish — Durable, low-glare steel protection

- Brass Bead Front Sight — Clear aiming reference in varied lighting conditions
The Weatherby Difference
This is a shotgun built to last. The Orion Compact doesn't sacrifice quality or reliability to achieve its compact dimensions. It's a genuine over-under platform—not a youth model, but a properly engineered shotgun that happens to fit smaller frames better.
